After Donald Trump was gagged the other day by Judge Merchan in the upcoming election interference criminal trial in Manhattan, and THEN continued to call out Merchan’s daughter, I wondered why. The gag order apparently does not include the judge or judge’s family, so Trump apparently believes it is okay with him and those that support him to extensively bully, which might cause the unhinged to go after said family. He must really be worried about losing this criminal trial, which he is required to attend every day it meets and thinks that by showing himself to be a raving, threatening coward, he can somehow stop it.

While you read the below, consider that this is a guy who threatens and bullies people every single day, including JUDGES, all while hawking bibles for just $59.99 Frankly, anyone that is a Republican or heck, a parent, that does not actively speak against what Trump is doing is complicit with him and condoning bullying, and contempt for law and order. Don’t forget Glen Rose ISD has code of conduct rules for children that Trump would not come close to following.

That’s because there is some sense that it’s unseemly for a judge or top prosecutor to protect themselves. And most of the time that makes sense, because it’s unnecessary. But this is Trump. He takes what’s not in the gag order as an invitation to go there.

And it’s not even true about the daughter. Trump is spreading a hoax. Hill

Former President Trump — in lashing out against the daughter of hush money trial Judge Juan Merchan — pointed to a social media account that is no longer connected to Loren Merchan, according to a court spokesperson.

In a statement first reported Wednesday, a spokesperson for the New York state Office of Court Administration (OCA) said the account in question was no longer associated with Loren Merchan, after she deleted the account approximately one year ago.

“The X, formerly Twitter, account being attributed to Judge Merchan’s daughter no longer belongs to her since she deleted it approximately a year ago,” OCA spokesperson Al Baker said Thursday in a statement provided to The Hill.

“It is not linked to her email address, nor has she posted under that screenname since she deleted the account,” Baker continued. “Rather, it represents the reconstitution, last April, and manipulation of an account she long ago abandoned.”

Nothing like the former President of the United States putting an American citizen, the child of a public servant, at risk in order to try to protect himself. Trump is a real profile in courage.

This makes me both incredibly angry and profoundly sad. Like many prosecutors, I had the experience of working on an investigation that led to threats against the prosecutors. Unfortunately, that can be part of the job. But what no prosecutor, judge, juror or witness signs up for is being threatened by the president of the United States.
