Honestly, I’m relieved, if only for the reason that this has been eating up too much of the news for the past forever. I watched the so-called debate between Old Liar Rapist Trump and Old Man Biden and was pretty shocked at how poorly Biden did against, of all people, Trump. The *debate* didn’t even have a fact checker to hold Trump the Liar to the fire. There was really no reason I could see that Biden shouldn’t have been able to thwart Trump, except that he is old. He’s been a great president and even Republicans have lied and said they passed some of his legislation like Build Back Better.
The Republican party has decided to go with an adjudicated rapist, fraudster and felon, who is also REALLY OLD and the big things they came out with this last week at their convention was to cement that they are also racist and bigoted (The Mass Deportations stuff, for one). I didn’t watch but heard that Trump rambled again for a very long time in his acceptance speech with his *greatest hits* which are utterly wacko. And, look at all the felons in their campaign who were given speaking parts. it’s like watching organized crime with all the crooks. Really scum.
And I LIKE Kamala Harris. I don’t know how this will shake out with the Dems, but Biden saw fit to put her in as vice president. She has said she wanted to debate J d Vance, who is an utter kook. Plus even though Trump lies and tries to hide his ties to the Project 2025 authoritian crap, he can’t.
I say GO to the Democrats. Even if there is anything contested or she has to be nominated the convention, OR someone else is, I will vote for them because I do not vote for felons and rapists. Too bad Republicans are no longer the party of law and order, or at least that’s what they told themselves.
