In every Somervell County Commissioners Court packet, there are other types of information than merely the agenda. Can include signed motions, minutes, supplementary materials, contracts, expense approvals, budget transfers and monthly reports from various departments, (like the fire dept).
Here’s an example from the July 15, 2024 meeting
I asked, via an open records request what the claim for Gray with the PO was for the amount of $2775.20; this item listed a PO number and was to the Texas Association of Counties, to Nikki Weedon. Got back a reply on the 10th business day that a legal firm is asking for an AG opinion on whether I can receive it. This means, first, that Somervell County is paying for this law firm to write a request for an opinion and second, that the AG will determine, by what they send, separately and private to me, if they have a legal basis to withhold.
