Republicans in the house, as we all know, did not even attempt to vote on the toughest border bill that’s ever been, crafted by the Senate. That alone shows how the whole *border invasion* is a non-serious party ginned up to kowtow to rapist Donald Trump.
It would be like your house is burning down and instead of calling the fire department, that is waiting right outside your property with their equipment, you say “Nah, we’ll look at fixing this in the fall”
But this makes me laugh. This week, the whole raft of them in the House went on their vacation.
Veteran journalist John Harwood comments on Sherman’s post: “the disaster that is House Republican leadership simply reflects the disaster that is Donald Trump’s Republican Party.” He asks, “how can anyone effectively lead an enterprise that exists in the real world but is built on fantasies and lies and demagoguery?”
So, in my analogy, with the house burning down, you do NOTHING and leave to go to Cancun.
Is every single one of these Republicans in the House a coward? Or are they being blackmailed? What the heck is it???
