On June 21, 2025, Donald Trump plunged the United States of America into a war of uncertain duration and scope.
Whatever happens, it is “Trump’s War.” He owns every bullet fired, bomb dropped, missile lofted, soldier and civilian wounded or killed, family displaced, and child orphaned.
Trump acted unilaterally and in defiance of the US intelligence community, which advised him that there was no urgency to act. Rather than use the available time to consult Congress—the people’s representatives—he acted alone. And he acted based on a lie about the timeframe of Iran’s ability to create nuclear weapons.
Worse, he acted solely to feed his monstrous ego and insatiable vanity.
