I am complimenting Michelle Reynolds again, who not only always is very courteous and professional in answering emails, but remembered to keep me updated as to when the audio would come back online.
Here’s what happened. Somervell County changed their website software within the past 6 months, and, when they did, they did not purchase the media option. After realizing it was not included, they purchased it, but then found out that there were some incompatibilities with the way the audio was previously being uploaded to the website for hearing. According to Reynolds, some work needed to be done by the IT department to correct that, and it was within the last week. Thank you, Michelle!
The link is here, is also on the link for Commissioners Court under Court Recordings. and I have also added it to the sidebar on this site. The agendas appear to be in the same place they were before
Just a couple of notes. The retention policies for audio does not require that it be kept forever, so if you are interested in particular meetings, suggest you download now. Also, the agenda is not on the same page as the media, nor does there appear to be a link on the agenda page linking to the audio, so, in my opinion, the best way to check and listen to what actually happened at a given meeting is to open up the agenda in one window and listen along.
Side note also is to remember that any citizen is welcome to record the meetings and post them online. I have done that myself sporadically since about 2005 but have been either sick or quite busy this year, so confining myself to listening to audio after the fact.
