Yeah. I’ve been following the shenanigans of Lively and Ryan Reynolds in their clumsy attempt to stifle Justin Baldoni and have been appalled to see the lengths she will go to to *fish* for more information to push her hair-brained whine. She went after a bunch of people who simply wanted to speak or do videos about her and it sure looks like she just cannot imagine that there are a heck of a lot of people who don’t like her, for valid reasons. I don’t know whose idea it was to subpoena content creators, but it feels like a Streisand Effect with more people paying attention to this B level *actress* who looks like she wants acting jobs in order to sell some subpar products. That’s MY opinion and here are a few links to previous comments by me https://scsalon.org/?s=lively

Always very disgusting to have someone American try to trample free speech rights. But especially stupid in the cases of Megyn Kelly and Perez Hilton. Megyn apparently thinks she is a narcissistic bully. I am not a fan of Kelly, don’t watch or listen to her, but she came across my radar BECAUSE of Blake Lively. I do remember some years back when Felon Thug Trump said something during a debate about blood coming out of Kelly, which was really weird. I am not conservative or a Republican or a Felon Trump lover, so I do not join the apparently large group of conservatives that don’t like Lively but maybe are okay with Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds putting his child in his movie to say foul and inappropriate things, according to him (The Republican party is apparently aokay with pedophiles and deviants). I digress but I cannot imagine any world where Lively, who appears to have made up stuff about her case against Baldoni, thought it was a good idea to put fuel on the fire by attacking Kelly and Hilton. Her attorneys must be miking that wallet for all they can get.

Anyway, Kelly has apparently said Lively is a bitch, which may be true (I do think she’s pretty dumb). And with all the fishing subpoenas Lively has been doing, maybe it was inevitable to subpoena someone who said something unflattering about Lively at the level of Kelly

Back in April 2025, Kelly roasted Lively at a Time event.

Megyn Kelly shared a red carpet at the Time 100 Gala with Blake Lively, whom the former Fox News host has sharply criticized for her public feud with “It Ends With Us” director Justin Baldoni – and while the two apparently didn’t speak or cross paths, the podcaster had plenty to say about the actress afterwards.

Kelly said it was “embarrassing to be walking around with people pretending this really is the 100 most influential people and somehow they have moved up on some imaginary power grid … Then you had people like Blake Lively, who was there with her husband Ryan Reynolds and her mother Elaine Lively. She has been in some movies and successful TV shows, but in no world is this person one of the most influential people in America.”…

“But I had to say it’s pretty cathartic to say how you really feel,” she said. “I don’t think what she’s doing to Justin Baldoni is in any way fair, gracious, nice or just, and so I couldn’t help looking at her the whole night like some sort of twisted, mean girl, like there’s something wrong with this person, because all the allegations that she’s launched against him have fallen apart, virtually every single one of them.”

Kelly called Lively’s ongoing feud a desperate attempt to repair her public image.

“She’s really taken a serious hit,” Kelly said. “She thought she was going to file this MeToo claim against him and get the New York Times to write about it, and she was going to be elevated as a MeToo heroine. And instead, he lawyered up, and he got a great one, Bryan Freedman, and started fighting her back on each and every claim.”

Here’s Dave Neal talking about it. I do listen to him sometimes and I share his values, which are NOT kook-conservative.

I don’t like Kelly so this is not going to turn me into a regular watcher but again, I find it pretty hilarious that Lively chose Kelly to go after, when all this is is someone saying her opinion of Lively in an unflattering way, WHICH SHE CAN, because Lively is a public figure AND we live in America.

On to Perez Hilton. I used to read him a long time ago but go tired of it. He’s another person that came up on my radar. I think he was neutral about Lively at first but over time didn’t like what she did to try to ruin Baldoni. He is also one of the many people she subpoenaed JUST BECAUSE they reference her AND she, without any proof, suspected there was a smear campaign against her. Mr Hilton is fighting the subpoena in a Las Vegas courtroom and, so far, is winning. And, because she chose to go against a guy who creates video content almost every day, what she is doing it getting wide notice. He is also appearing pro se as a NON_PARTY to this case, otherwise he would have to spend his own money to retain attorneys to fight this

Note about subpoenas. One time I was subpoenaed to give a deposition for a case someone else had brought because I wrote about it, quite a bit of it based on open records anyone can get through requests to the state. Retained an attorney who I had to pay at X amount per hour (he negotiated that the deposition could last up to 6 hours, so it was pricy. Think I WANTED to pay that as someone whose case it was N OT? Nope. So I am in complete agreement with Hilton not wanting to have to pay for an attorney but fight this on his own.

More related stuff about all this

Hilariously, somebody thinks Ryan Reynolds is turning into this generation’s Chevy Chase, who is considered by a lot of people as an asshole (From Daily Dose of Dana)
