Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is facing fresh controversy after reports surfaced alleging he carried on an extramarital affair with a Christian influencer, prompting his wife of 38 years, State Senator Angela Paxton, to file for divorce.
According to the San Antonio Current and other outlets, Paxton is accused of having a relationship with 57-year-old Tracy Duhon, a Louisiana-based Christian influencer and mother of seven.
The two allegedly met at the 2024 Kentucky Derby, where they were said to have stayed at the home of a mutual friend. Sources claim Paxton and Duhon later traveled together without the knowledge of their spouses.
Angela Paxton cited “biblical grounds” and “recent discoveries” in her divorce filing, saying remaining in the marriage would no longer honor God, her children, or herself. Ken Paxton responded with a statement describing the separation as the result of political pressures and public scrutiny, while asking for privacy and prayers.
Neither Paxton nor Duhon has publicly addressed the specific allegations of an affair. Reports rely heavily on unnamed sources, and no direct evidence such as travel records or communications has been released.
This is not the first time Paxton has faced accusations of infidelity. During his 2023 impeachment proceedings, former staffers testified that he used secret phones, aliases, and ride-share accounts to conceal an earlier affair with a Senate staffer. Those proceedings also included allegations of abuse of office and corruption tied to a political donor.
