The big question is why the heck Trump welcomed MBS, who is a murderer, into the White House. Remember 9/11??????? Where’s MBS’s suit, incidentally???? And, every year since 911, US Congressman and the world have commemorated the massacre of American citizens. Do they all think it’s find for demented Trump to bring MBS into the White House in exchange for goodies that actually CONGRESS should be deciding on?
I can't forget that Saudi Arabia killed Americans on 911. They destroyed families. To think MBS was sitting in the Oval Office and Trump was praising him. MBS killed Ghoshoggi and Trump praises MBS and has a dinner for him. Trump is rotting before our eyes. That's the odor people are smelling.

The sellout of America is complete. Our President groveling at the feet of MBS, listening to him lie to the American press about 911 and the murder of a American Journalist. Ugly as Ugly can be. Trump will do ANYTHING for a buck.

At the White House, bin Salman said it was a “painful” episode for Saudi Arabia, and his country had taken “all the right steps” to investigate the grisly murder, which involved the Washington Post columnist’s dismemberment with a bone saw.
“It’s painful and it’s a huge mistake and we are doing our best that this does not happen again,” the leader, who goes by his initials, MBS, told journalists.
Saudi Arabia is ranked one of the worst countries in the world for political rights and civil liberties by the democracy and human rights organization Freedom House. It is accused of torturing and abusing political prisoners, such as women’s rights activists who demonstrated for the right to drive.
Fifteen of the 19 terrorists who carried out the 9/11 attacks were Saudi citizens, as was Osama bin Laden, the founder of al-Qaida. Much of the funding for al-Qaida was channeled through charities, some of which enjoyed Saudi government backing and involvement, according to the 9/11 report.

Trump is vile. He’s basically excusing that Khaghoggi was murdered by saying “hey, some people didn’t like him. Things happen”.. and also, according to Vindeman, who heard the phone call between he and MBS, Trump KNOWS that MBS had Khashoggi murdered and is (typically) lying about it.
“A lot of people didn’t like that gentleman that you’re talking about, whether you like him or didn’t like him. Things happen, but he knew nothing about it. And we can leave it at that,” he said before chiding Bruce for “embarrassing” the Saudi leader.

ABC News’ Mary Bruce didn’t mince words. “9/11 families are furious that you’re here in the Oval Office,” she told the Crown Prince.
Bin Salman, seated beside Trump, said he felt “pain about the families of 9/11 in America”. He claimed the terror attacks masterminded by Osama bin Laden were meant to rupture Washington’s ties with Riyadh.
“Based on CIA documents, Osama bin Laden used Saudi people in that event for one main purpose, to destroy the American-Saudi relation. That’s the purpose of 9/11,” he said. “So whoever’s buying that, they are helping Osama bin Laden’s purpose of destroying this relation. He knows that strong relation between America and Saudi Arabia, it’s bad for extremism, for terrorism.”
Nearly 3,000 people died when 19 hijackers, of whom 15 were Saudi citizens, commandeered four planes on September 11, 2001.
But the Crown Prince avoided the legal fight now underway in a US court, where a federal judge ruled earlier this year that Saudi Arabia must stand trial over allegations tied to the attacks.
If the 9/11 exchange was tense, what preceded it was even more charged. When Bruce asked about the 2018 killing of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi agents, Trump cut in sharply.
In front of his “very good friend”, the President snapped at the reporter, calling her a “terrible person” and suggesting ABC News should lose its broadcasting licence for being “fake news”.
“He knew nothing about it. You don’t have to embarrass our guest by asking something like that,” Trump said in a stunning defence of the Crown Prince.
Then came the line that sucked the air out of the room.
“You’re mentioning somebody that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn’t like that gentleman that you’re talking about. Whether you like him or didn’t like him, things happened,” Trump said of Khashoggi’s murder, seemingly implying that the journalist deserved his grisly fate.
The CIA had concluded that bin Salman ordered the murder and dismemberment of Khashoggi, a known critic of his regime, at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul. The Crown Prince maintains he had nothing to do with the murder.

You’ve heard about Trump and Zelesnkyy’s call, but have you heard about the call between Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince?
Washington, D.C. — Congressman Eugene Vindman (Va.-07) today spoke on the U.S. House floor to demand that the White House release the transcript of a 2019 call that took place between President Donald Trump and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman following the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Vindman served as a lawyer on the White House National Security Council during President Trump’s first administration.
In his remarks, Vindman states that following Khashoggi’s murder, he reviewed a phone call that he believes would be of interest to both the Khashoggi family and the American people — especially given Trump’s disturbing defense of the Saudi Crown Prince in the Oval Office on Tuesday.

“Given President Trump’s disturbing and counterfactual defense of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman today, I feel compelled to speak up on behalf of the Khashoggi family and the American people.
“During my tenure on Trump’s White House NSC staff, I reviewed many of Trump’s calls with foreign leaders.
“Of all the calls I reviewed, two stood out as the most problematic.
“The first, we all know. It was between President Trump and President Zelenskyy, which resulted in his first impeachment. The second was between Trump and Mohammed bin Salman.
“After the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, I reviewed a call between President Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince.
“The American people and the Khashoggi family deserve to know what was said on that call.
“If history is any guide, the receipts will be shocking. I call on the President to release the transcript.
“And honestly, does anyone believe the Zelenskyy call was the only problematic conversation Donald Trump had with a foreign leader?”
