For me, I believe in separation of church and state and honor the constitution, which clearly this city and county do not. We are the UNITED STATES and should be including people regardless of their religion and beliefs, not excluding them, and especially using government to do it. What would be fair would be to allow others who don’t happen to be a sect of christianity to participate too-in fact, the State of Texas lost a lawsuit last year about this and had to pay up. (Side note that there are extremists also in office at the State of Texas that are trying to push the 10 commandments being posted in public school classrooms- they’re losing. )
I also know that one cannot take the Bible literally, and there are discrepancies in the christmas story. For example, and more below, no where in the Bible does it say there were 3 wise men.
