You know what’s extremely silly at this point? Dragging in previous presidents instead of pointing the finger at the one(s) that actually attacked another sovereign country. Who’s president right now? Trump. You know, the one that campaigned on no wars but has been threatening country after country for months.
Remember this?
Disgusting that this creep wants to try to blame former president Joe Biden for this. Otherwise, why in the world bring up Biden, who has NOTHING to do with crazy demented Trump deciding to attack Iran?
What is also appalling is Trump’s attitude towards service members caught in his adventuring. Doesn’t he even CARE about people dying? It’s just callous to say the following, on two separate days. Remember Trump is in a war that he did not come before Congress for, thus violating the Constitution. Then, uh, as I’ve seen a bunch this callous comment reminds of Lord Farquard

Trump doesn't even pretend to give a damn that he's sending Americans to their deaths.

Anyway, to today. Trump is trying to make up some justification for attacking Iran and has been trying out various excuss, including trying to make it appear that Iran was going to attack US.Nope. He is lying.

Reuters – Notice what entity is saying this. The PENTAGON. throwing the White House under the bus, as well as Pete Hegseth of the laughably named non-official Dept of War
Pentagon tells Congress no sign that Iran was going to attack US first, sources say | Reuters www.reuters.com/world/us/pen…

But Sunday’s remarks to Congress appeared to undercut one of the key arguments for the war made by senior administration officials.
They told reporters the day before that President Donald Trump decided to launch the attacks in part because of indicators that Iranians might strike U.S. forces in the Middle East “perhaps preemptively.”
Trump, one of the officials said, was not going to “sit back and allow American forces in the region to absorb attacks.”
Pentagon officials briefed Democratic and Republican staff of several national
security committees in both the Senate and the House of Representatives
for more than 90 minutes on the unfolding U.S. attack in Iran, White
House spokesperson Dylan Johnson said earlier. In the briefings, administration officials emphasized that Iran’s
ballistic missiles and proxy forces in the region posed an imminent
threat to U.S. interests, but there was no intelligence about Tehran
attacking U.S. forces first, the two sources, speaking on condition of
anonymity, told Reuters.
Important: Pentagon admits that Iran was not planning on striking the United States, undermining Trump claims Hegseth says regime change is not the goal, undermining Trump Trump admits the U.S. killed individuals he expected to take over Pentagon officials grow paranoid over stockpile issues

Honestly, how gullible does Trump and Pete Hegseth think their supporters are? He says “We didn’t start this war”. uh, YES, TRUMP DID, who does he think he is now, Putin????? I feel like Hegseth, as a drunk, has damaged his brain and clearly has some problems with trying to assert manliness. Pffffttt.
What utter nonsense. Hegseth just said "We didn't start this war, but we will finish it."

Incidentally, maybe there are some readers here who do not remember what happened with the Iraq War and the baloney justifications made before CONGRESS to declare war on Iraq after 9/11. Iraq had nothing to do, incidentally, with 9/11, Saudi Arabia did. But they made up, and I distincely remember Colin Powell trying to make his case about Iraq being an imminent threat to US by Weapons of Mass Destruction… It was LIE, just as the crap Trump is making up about Iran now, albiet without even a fig leaf to pretend he will get Congressional authorization first. He just wants to be a dictator.
Gotta hand it to Trump. It took months before the Pentagon admitted that the claims about an imminent threat from Iraqβs WMD were lies. Trump got it done in one day. No imminent threat. No casus belli. Trump went to war because he wanted to.

Incidentally, why is the Trump administration so against freedom of speech and transparency?
For the most part, it was only MAGA sycophants handpicked be part of Hegseth's Pentagon press corps who got to ask questions this morning. There were a handful of actual journalists from legitimate media organizations who were allowed to attend. Of course, this is the way they were treated.
