Have to add that i’ts not just passports but all the other documents that you have to show TO GET a passport. If you can’t find your birth certificate, you will have to send for one and pay for it. If you have to prove that your name changed FROM your birth certificate, as a heck of a lot of women do, you will have to find your marriage certificate or pay to get a copy which will again COST YOU. If you use a name that is hyphenated, as for awhile had when married, you will again have to get documentation that you are who you say you are with original documents. Face it. Republicans do not want citizens to vote.
When a political party sees its policies growing more unpopular by the day, they try to win back voters by changing their policies. But the Republican Party? They are desperate to do something else: suppress the vote! Respected non partisan groups say“ Save America act”is as BAD as it gets.
