So…. Ukraine was invaded by Russia. US is part of NATO and has been assisting Ukraine against Russia. Unfortunately, we have a liar in office as president who also is a suckup for Russia. Have already written here before about how negotiations for peace were held without Ukraine present, how Russia, despite paying lip service to a cease fire, continues to bomb Ukraine, and, most egregiously, Trump has lied to the American public that it is Ukraine that is responsible for its own war. I, for the most part, just ignore what the Trump admin says as it almost always turns out to be bullchit.

Not the only time he has said that

(Also listen in this last video of him takling about the great economny, all the while currently blowing it up

Now, it looks like Trump is trying to get America out of helping Ukraine, which, you might remember, was the US obligation in trade for Ukraine giving up its nuclear weapons. Felon Trump is a failure con man.

The Trump administration removed the Budapest amendment from its website.

After the Soviet Union broke up, Ukraine had the third-largest nuclear weapon arsenal in the world at the time. So,

Ukraine agreed to give up all its nuclear weapons and join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (a global deal to stop the spread of nukes), and in return, Russia, the US, and the UK promised to respect Ukraine’s borders and independence, and not use force or threats against it. The agreement was meant to protect Ukraine after it gave up its nuclear weapons. But when Russia annexed Crimea in 2014, many said Russia broke its promise under the Budapest Memorandum. The terms of the deal were again broken when Putin ordered the invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
